REDUCED C19th bib front shirt (SH160R)
The metal clips in packaging have caused very small rust stains on some of the right hand cuffs. Because of this we have reduced all the stock. The image shows the worst case mark. You may be lucky and find there is no mark at all. These are also made from a slightly different fabric to our stock SH160's. The cotton is less optic white than our stock shirts.
The plain front of this shirt reflects the growing austerity in men's clothing.
After much experimentation we have found a cotton cambric which replicates the crisp cotton used in C19th. It is a humble cloth and the odd flaws adds to the very authentic look.
These shirts were customarily worn with separate stiff collars so the neckbands are made with the appropriate buttonholes.
Do keep in mind it is usual to add ½in to the neckband collar size so a 15.5in shirt would need a 16in collar.
Single cuff.
Measurements: Finished length 34in. Sleeve length 34in centre back neck to cuff.
Sizes: 14in - 20.5in.
Colours/Fabrics: White 100% cotton cambric
Era: 1880-1910.
