Limited Edition Pleated Front Trousers (TR1920-L)
Please note that all of the colourways for this product (TR1920-L) are limited Edition therefore will not be repeated. These were small runs of fabrics that we had in house that we wanted to repurpose. The stock will not be replenished.
These classic pleat front trousers were first worn in 1920's when they were known as Oxford Bags. Extreme versions were developed reaching an audacious 44" hem width.
They continued to be popular throughout the century most notably in 1950's.
These are a great cut, fitted at the back and with just enough room at the front.
Traditional button fly and braces buttons, now with belt loops. Back pocket with flap.
Split back waistband.
These are currently available in 4 colourways, Old hazel herringbone which is a textured 100% cotton weave, Brown Check is 100% wool, Grey Herringbone is 100% wool and Small Grey Herringbone is 100% wool.
They are true to size, unlike many of our other trousers so for the best fit measure around the true waist (navel height) and buy that size.
Inside leg unfinished at 37in which allows sufficient fabric for turn-ups
Sizes: 26in - 46in waist
Hem width vary with size - see below for approximate hem widths:
30in waist = 22in hem width
42in waist = 25in hem width
